SUMMARY:General Coalition Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Senior Inspector John Wojtowicz\, from US Marshals Service Tactical Operations Division (TOD) Strategic National Stockpile Security Operations (SNSSO) will be in attendance to provide a brief description of the Strategic National Stockpile.  His presentation will cover: \n\nThe role of law enforcement in EDS operations\, including recommended practices to ensure public safety at the EDS location\, and ways to improve “throughput” (the rate at which public health personnel can move the public through an EDS effectively);\nTwo main concepts that relate to law enforcement support to EDS operations:  traffic control and crowd control;\nThe importance of EDS security surveys;\nAny additional questions that may arise.\n\nWe are encouraging all communities to extend the meeting invitation to your law enforcement partners that may have a role in supporting your EDS. This is a great opportunity for you to engage your public safety partners in public health planning. It also complements the work the region has done and continues to do around critical staff dispensing (think: upcoming TTX).
