MRPC

HMCC Region 4AB

The Metro Regional Preparedness Coalition (MRPC) exists to enhance regional health and medical readiness for emergency events through collaborative, multidisciplinary planning necessary to foster a coordinated and effective regional response. The MRPC oversees the following programs: the Health and Medical Coordinating Coalition (HMCC) within Region 4AB, the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program (PHEP), and the 7 Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) Units within Region 4AB.

HPP

Hospital Preparedness Program

The members of the Region 4AB HPP Coalition, work collaboratively to enhance regional and individual capacity to plan for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate the impact of a wide range of health and medical threats and to ensure the continuity of medical and healthcare services during emergencies.

PHEP

Public Health Emergency Preparedness

The Region 4AB PHEP Coalition collaborates to plan for the public health impacts associated with natural disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and other emergency incidents to ensure equity in the public health response and recovery activities to disasters.

MRC

Medical Reserve Corps

The Region 4AB MRC units are led by a Unit Coordinator, who matches community needs—for emergency medical response and public health initiatives—with volunteer capabilities. MRC volunteers are recruited, trained, and activated to respond to community health needs during emergencies.
